Mary Ann earned her law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law.  Since that time, her thorough preparation and zealous advocacy have resulted in substantial settlements and jury verdicts for her clients statewide. Mary Ann has repeatedly been named as Best Lawyer, Super lawyer and is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell, a peer-based rating system that recognizes lawyers for the highest level of professional excellence.

Mary Ann is respected throughout the legal community as a fierce advocate representing injured individuals and families who have lost loved ones. Her extensive trial experience encompasses every aspect of injury law including medical malpractice, products liability, motor vehicle crashes, fall down cases, pedestrian cases, dog bites, trucking collisions, boating accidents and more.

Additionally, Mary Ann serves on the Board of Governors for the Connecticut Trial Lawyers, an elected position that she has held for over 20 years.  She is a member of numerous legal organizations and has been a presenter at various educational seminars throughout her career, speaking on topics including negotiation and mediation, premises liability and products liability.

Despite her reputation as one of Connecticut’s Top Trial Lawyers, Mary Ann’s success is attributable in large part to the fact that her clients consider her a compassionate advisor.  She founded ACK to provide her clients with personal attention in a small firm environment.  ACK employs a team approach to ensure the best legal representation for a maximum recovery.

“I have always tried to treat people the way I want to treated—with respect, kindness and compassion. I have found that listening is one of the most important skills, especially in the legal profession.  Sometimes people just need to tell their story and have someone listen to them.  While I can’t take my clients’ pain away, I can use my legal skills to allow them to focus on healing, while I navigate through the legal process for them.”

Mary Ann grew up in Middletown where she attended Mercy High School.  She graduated from the University of Connecticut, Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude. Mary Ann enjoys spending time with family and friends.  She lives in Cromwell with her husband of 35 years, Craig, and has a son, Matthew, who lives locally as well.
